Breakfast TV

I'll be up bright and early tomorrow, Friday, September 24th to be on Breakfast Television with some of the other wonderful vendors from the 104th Street City Market on Breakfast Television.  (Did you just watch us?!? Great stuff!)

I hope you can visit the farmers' market on one of the next three weeks as we will be putting away our tents after the last day of the season October 9th.  Yes, we are open until Thanksgiving weekend!  That means you can get all your fixings in time for a scrumptious, locally grown and raised, organic dinner.  mmmm...

This is my third summer selling my hats at the City Market and I have been alternating with the St.Albert Farmers' Market.  Here's where to find me over the next three Saturdays:

  • September 25 St. Albert Farmers' Market, 10-3
  • October 2 City Market, 9-3
  • October 9 St. Albert Farmers' Market, 10-3

Plaid + Autumn = Happy

I made it to the front page of Etsy a couple of weeks ago (I've been so busy that I only just noticed all the extra hearts at my Etsy store!).  Thanks  to Suzanne Brown for compiling this fantastically plaid autumn treasury.

Enjoy!

City Market, Saturday, September 18th

You may have to scrape the ice off of your windshield again Edmonton, but it should turn out to be a beautiful, crisp, October, errr, I mean September (!??!) day for the farmers' market tomorrow.  I'll be set up at the City Market for the second last time this year!  After tomorrow, September 18th, my last day at the City Market will be October 2nd.  I will be at the St. Albert Farmers' Market September 25th and for the final day of the season, October 9th.
Watch for me on Breakfast Television early on Friday, September 24th as Bridget Ryan highlights some of the best autumn fashions and tastes to be found at the City Market.  Not sure exactly what time we'll be on, but I will post that here if I find out.
If you can't make it out to one of the next four Saturdays, you still have lots of time to find a new hat for yourself or as a gift as I'll have five indoor shows before Christmas.  In Edmonton, I'll be selling at Heart & Soul, Make It and the Christmas Butterdome Show.  I'll also be at the Calgary and Vancouver Make It shows.  The dates are all listed at the top of this blog along with a link to each show for more specific information.

Now, off to pack up for tomorrow's market (and to dig out my winter coat and mitts!)

Back to school.
Leaves on the ground.
Frost.

Tweed hats!!

Autumn has definitely seemed to arrive a bit early this year in Edmonton, but I do love all the fall fabrics I can work with now!  There is just something about tweeds, plaids and corduroys.  They sew up into beautiful, timeless hats that look classic while offering up some practical warmth and protection from the wind.

I'll have a great selection of new fall hats at the St.Albert Farmers' Market from 10am to 3pm tomorrow, Saturday, September 4th.  It's promised to be a beautiful and relatively warm day, so do your shopping outdoors while you can!

I'd like to wish everyone a fantastic and safe Labour Day long weekend.  Especially to all my teaching pals who have just jumped back into their regular routine.  I'm thinking of you : )  I am sure you've already earned this extra day off!
