Edmonton Make It kicked off last night with a very respectable turn out for a Thursday night. I'm looking forward to three more busy days of smiling Edmontonians keenly filling their Christmas shopping lists (and their own wish lists!) with Canadian made goodies.  Make It is set up in The Alberta Aviation Museum (11410 Kingsway Avenue), close to downtown, with tonnes of free parking!
Did you know that this show has designers from across Western Canada? With shows in Edmonton, Vancouver and Calgary, many crafters jump onto the Make It Show circuit and do all three shows (Sugar Soul Studio did!). I just had time for a quick look around the show after I was finished setting up yesterday, but I have my eye on a few things. Kajsa, my Boston Bulldogge, will definitely be getting a super cute new dog collar from D'Boss Wear.

I'm off to beautiful Vancouver in the morning for the 10th Make It Show!  

It all kicks off at the Croatian Cultural Centre (3250 Commercial Drive) on Friday from 4-9pm.  The show will run Saturday, 11-6pm, and Sunday, 11-5pm.  It'll be a great place to start/finish your Christmas shopping.  Free parking and cheap admission (cheaper still if you print off the online coupon!).

November, November...

is finally here!  Which means, Sugar Soul fans, there will be LOTS of opportunities to get a new hat for the season or to start your Christmas shopping.  I'll be taking the show on the road a couple of times this month, too, which is always exciting.  I'll head to the Calgary Make It show next weekend, and then fly out to the Vancouver Make It in a few weeks.  The Edmonton Make It show will be 4 days long this year and will be at the end of November.  Just to keep things interesting, I'll also be set up at the Old Strathcona Farmers' Market on the next three Saturdays.  I'll have a friend working the table November 6th and 20th, but I'll be there November 13th if you want to stop by and say hi.
